Functional Test
Functional testing is a type of product testing where the basic functionalities of an application are tested against a predetermined set of specifications. Using Black Box Testing techniques, functional tests measure whether a given input returns the desired output, regardless of any other details. Results are binary: tests pass or fail.
Endurance test
Endurance testing involves examining a product while it withstands a huge load for a long period of time, and measuring the system’s reaction parameters under such conditions. Performance quality may also be tested to make sure that both the result and the reaction times – after a defined long period of continuous load – are degraded no more than a certain specified percentage from their values at the beginning of the test.
Fatigue Test
Fatigue tests are performed to measure the reduction in stiffness and strength of materials under repeated loading and to determine the total number of load cycles to failure. Fatigue tests are performed by repeated tension–tension, compression– compression, tension-compression or other combinations of cyclic loading.
Hysteresis Effects Test
The hysteresis effect is said to exist when a certain flow phenomenon such as oscillation occurs at a higher value of a variable if the variable is increasing and at a lower value when the variable is decreasing. Measurement of this effect requires that prepare equipment which can test intended parameter under special condition.
Climate condition Test
Climatic testing is a process of subjecting products and materials to a variety of environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and wind, in order to assess their performance and durability. There are many different types of climatic tests, each designed to test different aspects of a product’s performance.
Climatic testing gives manufactures an accurate picture of how their product will perform in any environment.
Besides the main climatic tests (temperature & humidity, corrosive atmosphere, and sand & dust), climatic testing also includes wind & rain, hail impact, solar radiation, and altitude.
Several extreme climatic scenarios are relevant for products during operation, transport, storage, and of course usage.
